There are no accounts and no server-side storage

The site is a set of static pages. There is nothing to sign up for, no login, and no form that sends anything to us. We do not operate a database of visitors.

The damage calculator itself runs entirely in your browser. The Pokémon you pick, the stats you set and the results you get are computed on your own device and are never transmitted to us.

What is stored in your browser

One preference is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site can remember it between visits:

• Your light or dark theme choice.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare’s servers process the technical details of each request in order to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system version, and the referring page.

We use this only in aggregate, to keep the site online and running properly. Cloudflare’s handling of it is governed by its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Analytics

To see how many people use the site and whether pages load quickly, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is deliberately privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, it does not fingerprint your device, and it does not follow you between sessions or across other websites.

What it records is aggregate: page views, the page you came from, the country, the browser and device type, and page-speed measurements. None of it identifies you, and there is no profile of you to look up.

Advertising

This site is free and is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense.

Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your settings and where you are, those ads may be personalised using your prior visits to this and other websites, or they may be non-personalised, in which case they are based only on general context such as the page content and your approximate location.

You can review and change what Google uses at My Ad Center, and you can opt out of personalised advertising entirely at Google Ads Settings. Google explains what it collects from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent choices before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change that choice at any time.

Other services your browser may contact

Two things on this site can cause your browser to make a request to somewhere other than our own servers:

• If you import a team using a pokepast.es link, your browser fetches that paste directly from pokepast.es. That request comes from you, not from us, so pokepast.es receives your IP address in the normal way. Pasting the team text instead of a link avoids this entirely.
• Pokémon sprites are served from this site. In the rare case that we do not host a particular sprite, your browser falls back to loading that one image from play.pokemonshowdown.com.

What we do not do

• We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address or any other personal detail.
• We do not sell or share your information.
• We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not track you across other websites ourselves.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children. The site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children.

Your choices

• Advertising: use My Ad Center or Google Ads Settings, linked above, and adjust your consent choice where you are offered one.
• Cookies: your browser can block or delete cookies for this site at any time. The calculator works with cookies blocked.
• Stored preferences: clearing your browser’s site data removes the theme preference described above.

The mobile apps

The iOS and Android apps are a separate product with different data practices. Notably they show no ads at all. They are covered by their own policy: VGC Champions Assistant app privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
